ABOUT OUR CLUB TEAMS
We offer three types of club teams for the 2025-2026 season:
1. National Team - The National team is considered the top two tiers in each age group and will travel to out-of-state USAV Qualifiers to compete on a National scale.
2. Regional Team - The Region team is considered a local team who will compete on a Regional level against other teams in the area. Usually Regional teams compete mostly in the Austin area, but will travel to Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio to compete.
3. Dripping Springs Lite Team - The DS Lite teams will compete in local tournaments around the Austin area and will compete in Regionals at the end of the season. The DS Lite team will not start practices until mid January and attend 4 tournaments total. All practices will be held in Dripping Springs at our campus.
To join a club team, follow the steps below:

3. GET TO KNOW Austin Skyline ON THE COURT
We recommend attending a camp or clinic to make sure your daughter enjoys playing with Skyline and is challenged. Any of our training sessions will give you a very good idea of what practices will be like throughout the season. Skyline will be offering the following throughout the year:
Skylites (Grades 1-6)
Summer Camps (Grades 1-12)
Pre-Tryout Clinics (Grades 4-12)
Small Group Classes (Grades 1-12)
Austin Skyline Juniors is a non-profit organization focusing on the development and volleyball training of junior athletes, as well as imparting skills and life lessons for success both on and off the court. Sportsmanship, teamwork, and character are as equally important to our athletes’ growth as the team’s success.
Year-round Training: Camps & Lessons (austinskylinejuniorsvolleyball.com) Camps and clinics are offered throughout the year, with the biggest concentration from June to September. Lessons are offered by our coaches year-round based on their personal availability.
Club Teams: Age groups from 10s-18s, offering National, Regional and Local divisions based on skill level.
Club Team Tryouts: Team tryouts for the Club season by age group are held during the month of June & July. Pre-tryout camps are highly recommended and are normally scheduled immediately preceding the associated tryout.
Training/Practice Locations: Austin Skyline operates primarily out of two locations – St. Michael’s Athletic Complex in Southwest Austin and Round Rock Sports Center in Round Rock. All teams practice twice per week for two hours and National teams on Sunday depending on tournament schedules. Dripping Springs will host practices for lite teams designated for the Dripping Springs area.
Leadership Council: At the beginning of each season, applications are accepted to be considered for a position on the Leadership Council and as Team Captains for their teams.
Skyline Cares: This program was established as a Community Service extension of Austin Skyline and provides many opportunities for our Skyline Family to support local communities while encouraging civic engagement and leadership among our athletes and families. It is our hope that through these activities, we can be a team off the court as well and we will learn to lead and serve in a variety of capacities while still supporting our communities and strengthening the ties that bind us together.
Coaching Staff: Austin Skyline selects its coaches based on their playing experience, knowledge, coaching capability, enthusiasm, and temperament. All have passed extensive background screening, are IMPACT and Safe Sport certified, and many have CAP certifications and have played internationally/professionally. We expect our coaches to provide individual and team training in a positive and encouraging manner – tough, but not by intimidation. The number of teams we field will not exceed the number of coaches that fit this requirement.
College Recruiting: At Austin Skyline, we firmly believe that strong relationships are fundamental to achieving success. We are dedicated to building and nurturing meaningful connections with all our athletes, enabling us to provide support as they pursue their dreams of playing at the next level. Our commitment to relationships extends beyond our athletes to include coaches at the college level as well. It is our mission to connect our athletes and their families with coaches and programs that have similar values and goals, ensuring the best possible fit for personal development and athletic success.
Skyline utilizes the iTeamApp platform for recruiting, providing athletes with a seamless way to showcase their abilities and accomplishments all in one place. Through the platform, athletes can create an online recruiting profile to share with college coaches. Athletes are able to link Hudl video highlights, display their academic and athletic achievements, and share their upcoming tournament schedules. Additionally, iTeamAPP serves as a comprehensive college database. Athletes and families can conveniently access information on various colleges, including contact information for coaches.
We provide all Skyline athletes ages 15-18 with...
Fundraising Events: Austin Skyline is very aware that there are many athletes who could not play the sport they love at the elite training level we provide without financial assistance. For this reason, ASJ holds events during the season to raise Scholarship funds to help us meet those needs and will expect your participation.
USSCI – Sports Fee Insurance: ASJ has partnered with USSCI to offer their Sports Fee Insurance at a discount. As our fees are due and payable regardless of ability to play due to illness or injury (on or off the court),
Sports Fee Insurance offered through USSCI is a great benefit to your family and offers peace of mind knowing that you can receive a prorated portion of your fees back if your athlete gets hurt and cannot play.
